Have a go at our creative lighting challenge
This week we are sharing our creative challenge with anyone who fancies giving it a go.
It’s a lighting design challenge set by a brilliant lighting designer called Prema Mehta. What on earth does a lighting designer do? Have a read of this to give you an idea. It’s a LOT of fun. This week, we are inviting you to try out being a lighting designer in your own home.
You have the idea. We’ll send you some lighting gels. You take some photos and share them with us. Simple.
Over the last few weeks, more than normal, I have really been noticing things around me. The impossibly blue sky, all the more brilliant without any plane trails in it. The late afternoon sunlight making its way into the kitchen. The shifting patterns of shade from trees in my local park.
Our creative challenge this week is just about this. Noticing the light around you. Capturing it and sharing it.
Prema describes it in more detail in this video here.
Or you can download a written guide here. Feel free to print it off and give a copy to a friend or neighbour who might not have internet access.
If you live Brighton or have a BN postcode we are happy to send you a few lighting gels to use in the task. You can contact us here and we will send them to you. Thanks to Rosco for this.
Feel free to share this with anyone who you think might enjoy it. And share the images with us on social media using the hashtags #EverydayLight and tagging us via:
