BPT Recieves Funding From Cultural Recovery Fund

Brighton People’s Theatre is delighted to share that we have received a Cultural Recovery Fund Award from DCMS and Treasury. This vital award will allow a small, growing company like Brighton People’s Theatre to keep working with communities in Brighton, sustaining work for freelancers in the industry, and giving us time to plan so we can expand our work in 2021. Thank you to Arts Council England for their continued support. We are both grateful and hopeful to be Here For Culture in the future.

Jodie is a member of our core creative group. We asked her what it means to be able to continue creative activities with BPT.

“I love the collaborative approach and the fun I have with the group when we make work. It’s brilliant to be silly, fun and playful. I’m really excited to be able to continue the workshops. I’d be gutted if they had to stop. As a key worker, it’s the only thing I’m currently doing that’s creative.”
