Fran Runs Her First Marathon to Raise Money for BPT
On Sunday the 7 April, the wonderful Fran will be running the Brighton Marathon (her first marathon!) to raise money for Brighton People’s Theatre. Many of you will know Fran as our previous Company Manager and from being at BPT workshops and activities.
A message from Fran
Hello! I’m Fran and three years ago I started working for the amazing Brighton People’s Theatre. BPT brings people together to play, have fun and explore their creative dreams through theatre. BPT does so much to help the people of Brighton by reducing isolation and providing opportunities for people to build connections, make friends and enjoy the mental health benefits of creative expression.
I have had the absolute pleasure of watching BPT and all the amazing brave and brilliant people involved achieve the most incredible things. Their latest production Born and Bread, inspired by the stories of 100 Brighton residents and involving a cast of 28 Brighton people who are non-professional performers, will be in the internationally acclaimed Brighton Festival this May. An incredible example of the opportunities that BPT offers the people of Brighton.
Running is something that I do to improve my mental health and wellbeing. I know that participating in Brighton People’s Theatre does the same for all those who take part in their activities. So on the 7 April, I will be running the Brighton Marathon for the all the participants of Brighton People’s Theatre past, present and future.
I would love it if you could help me raise funds that will allow Brighton People’s Theatre to continue to provide amazing opportunities for the people of Brighton and to continue the work that they do to make theatre and the arts accessible to all. Thank you 🙏🏽
My fundraising target is £1000 – or 200 hours of joy for the people of Brighton. I’d really appreciate your support in helping me reach it.
