Workshop

What’s the point of theatre anyway? A workshop with Tim Crouch

Isn’t it time we jacked it all in? Who are we kidding? How do we compete with the digital stuff? Who wants to go out any more? Who can afford it? What can theatre do that our computers can’t?

In this workshop, we’ll think about these questions. We’ll look at what still makes theatre so vital in the modern world. We’ll celebrate its unique features – its liveness, togetherness, the presence of an audience, a community, the potential to change lives through watching as well as doing. We’ll think and we’ll play. We won’t sort it all out but we’ll have a good go.

  • When: Sunday 4 February 2024
  • Cuppa Tea and Catch Up from 2 pm – 2.30 pm
  • Workshop 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm
  • Where: Founders Room, Brighton Dome, Church Street, Brighton, BN1 1UE
  • Payment £PWYD for the show ticket and the workshop. Suggested donation £10.
