Weekly Drop-In Theatre Workshops in Brighton City Centre

Brighthelm Centre (Hanover Room), North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD

In this workshop, we will be taking a whistle-stop tour of the great Russian actor trainer, Konstantin Stanislavski, and looking at how to use actions (or tactics) to help get the character what they want in a scene. This helps actors create a through-line and variety when reading a monologue.

Things we’ll look at together

Scenic-Objectives, Super objectives, Actioning a Text

Thanks to the support of Brighton and Hove buses we are able to offer day saver bus tickets to those on low incomes wanting to attend our workshops. If you would like more information on how we can support your travel needs please contact our Company Manager Fran at [email protected]

We prioritise people who have had the fewest opportunities to access arts and cultural activities. We are open to anyone with a BN postcode, who is over 18, and who doesn’t earn their living as a professional artist.
