Museum of Life: Call-out for Conversations
We are starting research for our latest show, which will be on the theme of AGEING and we want to speak to you.
We’re all doing it – every day, every year, every decade, from cradle to grave. But when do we get to talk about it?
Well, the answer is now.
Brighton People’s Theatre wants to speak with people of all ages (18+) to hear about their experiences of ageing. The show will be called The Museum of Life it will take a sideways look at some important questions around the theme:
- How has your sense of self changed as you’ve aged?
- Can you tell me about a moment where you gained something as a result of ageing?
- Is ageing the same for men and women? Is it the same for rich and poor? Is it the same in different cultures? Is it the same in different communities?
We want to hear what you have to say about these questions and others and we will take all of it forward as we develop a script for the show which will be developed into a full show over the next year.
Maybe you have something to share. Maybe you have a unique perspective on this theme. Maybe you have a story, a thought, a reflection, a moment in your life you’ll never forget, or maybe you’re not really sure but you just fancy having a chat, we would love to speak to you.
All conversations and contributions will form the material for our next show which will be shared in Spring 2025, and everyone we speak to will be invited to the first sharing at the end of March.
There are a couple of ways of sharing your story:
